Sample Tour A

This tour commences in Dublin and ends in Shannon. It encompasses a mixture of the most scenic parts of the Wild Atlantic Way on the South/West Coast in harmony with the best features of the Ancient East covering the East Coast. Our journey will take in the best of our cities including Dublin, Galway, Waterford, Limerick and Kilkenny. You will have the best of both worlds as we travel through our beautiful countryside whilst also enjoying the hustle and bustle of our Capital and other historic towns.
Our tours can be customised to suit you and we are open to changes/adjustments or additional stops to ensure you fully enjoy your stay

 

Day 1
We will meet you at the airport or your hotel. 
Our destination is Kilkenny. 
This morning we depart Dublin to visit Powerscourt House and landscaped gardens, this house, originally a 13th-century castle located at the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. Next, we visit the ruins of a 12th Century Castle in Ferns County Wexford. Continuing south to Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city. It was founded by Vikings in 914 A.D., You can take a tour of Waterford Crystal and see how this world – famous crystal is made.
Driving on to Kilkenny City, where you stay overnight, this is a city where all the shop, restaurants and pubs are within short walking distance
of each other in the centre of town.

Day 2
Our destination is Cork City
We start the day with a visit to Kilkenny Castle 
Then we drive inland through the counties of Kilkenny, Tipperary and Cork. Our first stop is to visit the Rock of Cashel, this Castle was the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster. Driving south to Blarney, where you can visit the Castle and Gardens and kiss the Blarney Stone and you'll never again be lost for words. Stop at the Woollen Mills for some shopping.
Ending our day in Cork City, where you will stay overnight.

Day 3
Today we will tour Cork City and County, our first stop is the town of Midleton here we will visit and take a guided tour of the Jameson’s Distillery. Next, we will visit the town of Cobh known from 1849 until 1920 as Queenstown, this was the last port of call of the Titanic. You can visit the Heritage centre and see what the Irish immigrants had to endure as they made their hazardous journeys to the New World.
Next, it’s onto Kinsale, a historic port and fishing town, which also has a significant military history. The town is compact with a quaint air of antiquity in the narrow streets and has several art galleries. You can visit Charles Fort built by the British to strengthen the defences of Kinsale harbour and see some splendid views.
Back to your hotel in Cork city.

Day 4
Our destination is Killarney. 
Today we drive along the southern coast of Ireland to Bantry, the past, present and future fuse in perfect unison in Bantry town, which nestles at the head of the beautiful ancient Bantry Bay, then onto Kenmare through the Healy Pass, located right at the heart of West Cork on the Beara Peninsula and over the Caha Mountain range.
This is a very scenic tour finishing in the beautiful town of Killarney where you will spend the night.

Day 5
Today first you visit and tour Muckross house and gardens. Maybe take a ride in a Jaunting car. Then you can do the Ring of Kerry is a scenic drive around the Iveragh Peninsula on the southwest of Kerry. Its semi-circular route taking in rugged and verdant coastal landscapes and rural seaside villages, on this coastal and mountainous drive, we will pass through beautiful small towns with some exquisite views. If time permits you can take in the Skellig Ring. The island served as a filming location in the making of the Star Wars Films.  The Force Awakens and the next film in the series Episode VIII.
Arrive back in Killarney to stay the night.

Day 6
Today we take a very scenic drive. 
Departing Killarney, we go to Dingle Town and the peninsula. 
We tour the town and surrounding peninsula. Then it’s on to Limerick city driving over the Connor Pass on Brandon Mountain to Tralee (famous for its annual Rose festival).  
Then you will take a very beautiful drive to Limerick by the River Shannon passing the Abbey ruins at Askeaton driving through the picturesque town of Adare. Then into Limerick city, where if time permits you can visit the Hunt Museum, which holds Irelands largest collection of international antiquities and art.
Stay overnight in Limerick.

Day 7
Destination today is Galway city.
Driving west on the Wild Atlantic Way and the Cliffs of Moher, the cliffs are a spectacular sight and are the highest sea cliffs in Europe.
We keep driving north with breath-taking views of the Burren, passing through the spa town of Lisdoonvarna, famous for its matchmaking festivals. We next visit the town of Ballyvaughan an enchanting picturesque village. Keeping on the Wild Atlantic Way we arrive at the Fishing Village of Kinvara, and Dunguire Castle, which was built around 1500 for the O' Hynes family.
We finish our day in Galway city where you stay overnight,
A nice city to stroll around where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of one of our most attractive destinations.

Day 8
The Ring of Connemara
This morning we tour Connemara situated on the west coast of Ireland; it is one of the most beautiful, unspoilt places in Ireland.
This is purely a scenic drive over a barren region between the Twelve Pins Mountain range and Atlantic Ocean. Drive onwards to the town of Clifden, the largest town in Connemara, and 150-year-old Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden. Where you see the magnificent fairy tale castle and experience the aura of peace and tranquility and a sense of spirituality.
Then we drive back to Galway through the mountains to your hotel in Galway City, where you will stay overnight.

Day 9
Our first stop today is Clonmacnoise, the monastery was founded in 544 by St Ciaran.
Next, we will visit a19th-century warehouse home of Tullamore Dew whiskey, for a tasting tour.
On to Birr Castle to see the Great Telescope. Built in the 1840s it was the largest in the world, and visit the award – winning gardens, where you can walk among rare trees and flowers and see the wonderful wildlife.
Driving south though the midlands of Ireland to Shannon and a visit to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.
The Castle, built in 1425, is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland.
Then it’s on to your hotel in Shannon, where you stay overnight for your flight home.

The next morning, we will pick you up at your hotel to transfer you to the airport and to say goodbye to your driver.
